The components in this section are McStas ports, contributed by Fahima Islam, of sample-scattering kernels from the MCViNE neutron ray-tracing package [Lin+15]1 . They cover scatterers defined by an analytic expression or a tabulated grid for the structure factor \(S(Q)\) or the dynamical structure factor \(S(Q,E)\), isotropic and single-crystal dispersions with optional Gaussian or Lorentzian broadening, scatterers with fixed energy and/or momentum transfer, one-phonon scattering from a tabulated phonon dispersion, a resolution kernel for direct-geometry spectrometers, and a 2D SANS map on a grid. Every kernel exists in two forms sharing the same kernel code: as an ordinary sample component (this section), and as a Union process with the suffix _process (next section).
